Speakout
(Opinion ~ 10/30/20)
An idea to consider after changing the name of the street from Daddy Felker to Lincoln. I can understand why they would want to do that, but it would be nice if the university would put a stone marker on the property, explaining who Daddy Felker was and what he did for the community. And why the name had been changed. Make a little marker, not a tree, that’s gonna die and somebody is going to knock the marker off. Make a permanent stone marker somewhere explaining the street had been named Daddy Felker, such and such years, and do it that way.
