William Nicholas

LAKEMOOR, Ill. -- William James Nicholas, 80, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died March 28, 2008, at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.

Born July 28, 1927, in Alicia, Ark., to the late William J. And Mary Hilliard Nicholas, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving as a corporal in the Korean War. Since 1965, he had been a resident of Lakemoor. He was employed as an electrician for NIMCO, retiring in 1989.

On Jan. 10, 1958, he married Robbie J. Seymour who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Neal (Roberta) Nicholas and Billy (Regina) Nicholas of McHenry; one sister, Wanda Griswold of Jackson; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at George R. Justen & Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm St., McHenry. The funeral is scheduled for noon Wednesday at the funeral home.

Inurnment will be private.
