Sikeston wins second-straight with 3-0 win over Pirates

PERRYVILLE -- The Sikeston Bulldogs used a terrific pitching performance from senior Garrett Limbaugh in a 3-0 win over Perryville on the road Saturday afternoon.

Limbaugh threw a two-hit shutout, striking out five in earning the win.

Sikeston scored all of their runs in the first inning as Scott Droddy, Vince Howard and Seth Baker all came across to score.

Chase Ferrell led Sikeston in hitting going 2-for-3. Baker and Howard each added doubles.

The Bulldogs will be in action again Tuesday when they travel to Poplar Bluff.

COOTER -- North Pemiscot jumped to a 6-0 lead and made the Wildcats play catch up on Friday afternoon.

The Mustangs (0-3) were led in hitting by Brandon Quillin, Eric Fowler and Jason Sample, all had two hits each. One of Quillin's was a homer. Matt Pierce took the loss for the Mustangs.

Jonathan Boone paced Cooter (3-0) with three hits. Boone also picked up the win with five innings of relief allowing only one run.
