Karlene Cambron

MOREHOUSE -- Karlene Cambron, 89, died Feb. 14, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 16, 1914, in Rose Hill, daughter of the late Richard Wooten and Vienna Ruth Heflin Bryant, she had lived in the Morehouse area most of her life and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Morehouse.

On Feb. 22, 1932, she married Sherman C. Cambron who preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1993.

Survivors include: two sons, Sherman Cambron Jr. of Doniphan and Billy Joe Cambron of Wappapello; four daughters, Alta Halley of Cottage Hills, Ill., Sherry Bowers of Sikeston, Peggy Tillman of Morehouse and Vaneda Williams of Bloomfield; and 24 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Watkins and Sons Fuenral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston. The Rev. Dallas Reagan of Murray, Ky., will officiate.
