DEXTER - Esta Lee Miller, 79, died Jan. 5, 2004, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Dexter.

Born Oct. 16, 1924, in Dexter, daughter of the late Robert and Emma McFarlen Gills, she was a lifelong resident of Dexter and was a pocket setter at Elders Manufacturing for 19 years before retiring.

On May 18, 1946, at Piggott, Ark., she married Earl Miller who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one daughter, Diane Pewitt of Sikeston; and two grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were one son, Gary Lee Miller on Dec. 2, 2003; and one sister, Marie Wilson.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Essex Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Kirby of Dexter will officiate.
