DEXTER - Altie Corlew, 91, died Dec. 25, 2003, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dexter.

Born Aug. 13, 1912, in Laff, Ark., daughter of the late William Thomas and Lura Kemmett Rose, she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was employed by Elder Manufacturing in Dexter before retiring.

On March 16, 1934, at Paragould, Ark., she married William Max Corlew who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Leon Corlew of Dexter and Eddie Levoy "Bud" Corlew of Bonne Terre; two daughters, Glenda Perry of Hendersonville, Tenn., and Artencie Satterfield of Sikeston; one sister, Ida Cowan of Dexter; and seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Ray Corlew; five brothers, Clarence Cooper, Arnold Cooper, William Rose, Olivene Rose and Carl Rose; and three sisters, Addie Williams, Nettie Maglothin and Eva Hollis.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
