SIKESTON - Norma Jean Smart, 57, formerly of New Madrid, died Dec. 23, 2003, at her home.
Born Jan. 24, 1946, in Lepanto, Ark., daughter of the late Edwin and Minnie May Stephens, she was a housekeeper for 15 years for Sikeston Health Care. She was a member of Tanner Street Church of God.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Sgt. 1st Class David Smart of Tacoma, Wash., and stationed with the U.S. Army in Iraq, and his wife, Amy Smart of Tacoma and Danny and Terry Smart of Dexter; two brothers, James Stephens of Sikeston and Donnie Stephens of St. Louis; three sisters, Nancy Wiley and Helen Miller of Centerville, Ill., and Pat Cotner of Sikeston; and four grandchildren, Justin Smart and Jordy Smart of Morehouse and Jessica Smart and Jacob Smart of Atlanta, Ga.
Two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of Tanner Street Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
