BERTRAND - Everett Cain, 76, died at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 25, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born May 15, 1927, in Osceola, Ark., he was the son of the late Clarence and Nanny Roberts Cain. He lived in Bertrand most of his life where he was employed in farming and construction until retiring.
Survivors include: three sons, Larry Cain of Jacksonville, Fla., Roger Cain of Charleston and Michael Cain of Morehouse; three daughters, Paula Jenkins of Dogwood, Geraldine Mansfield of Sikeston and Jeanie Cain of Charleston; one brother, J.C. Cain of Springfield; three sisters, Rena Sills of Sikeston, Della Faye Laster of Bertrand and Imogene Fairhurst of Antioch, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Claudine Smart; and one brother, Lester Cain.
Relatives and friends will assemble for graveside services at 11 a.m. Saturday at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston. The Rev. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church, will officiate.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
