Your view: Meeting planned

We, the former members of the Volunteer Fire Department, are inviting you as citizens and business owners to a public meeting at Sikeston Factory Outlet Mall Community Room Monday, April 11, at 7 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to clear the air and concerns you may have regarding the confusion over the Fire Department. We wish to inform you that we, as a department, did not walk out on the city of Miner. The Mayor and the Aldermen locked us out of the department without honoring our request for a meeting with them to end this turmoil.

We, as a department, have information we feel you as citizens and business owners should have been aware of before judgment was passed on anyone. Please make time to attend this meeting so you as citizens and business owners can be properly informed. Thank you for your support in the past and your support we feel we can gain for the future.
