Virginia Halteman

PARMA - Virginia Evelyn Halterman, 71, died Jan. 8, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Aug. 18, 1932, in New Madrid County, she was the daughter of the late Cole and Dixie Blevins Harralston.

On July 27, 1948, in Piggott, Ark., she married Albert L. Halterman, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1991.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Betty Halterman of Parma; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jannis and Gary Campbell of Parma and Mary Halterman of Belleville, Ill.; four brothers, Dub Harralston of Campbell, Odell Harralston of Parsons, Tenn., Andy Harralston of Malden and Tom Harralston of St. Louis; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid with Jack Lewis officiating.

Burial will follow in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.
