Leslie Durham

PARMA - Leslie Lee "Blue" Durham, 73, died Jan. 8, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 11, 1930, in LaValle, son of the late Arthur and Goldia Loveless Durham, he was a lifelong resident of the Parma area. A member of the Parma First Baptist Church, he retired as a welder for the railroad.

On July 11, 1950, at New Madrid, he married Wilma Cole who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, David Wayne Durham of Parma, Mark Wade Durham of Malden and Christopher Scott Durham of Campbell; one daughter, Sheri Lee Stewart of Douglas, Ga.; two brothers, Donald Durham and Kenneth Durham of Bernie; four sisters, Mae Baldwin of Fenton, Jenny Parmly of Dittmer, Mildred Adams of Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Lou Giddings of Dexter; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. today until service time at 2 p.m. at the Parma First Baptist Church. The Rev. John Girdley of Parma will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Durham Family Cemetery near Campbell.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Parma is in charge of arrangements.
