ORAN - Clark Dale "Corky" Duke, 64, died at 12:25 a.m. Jan. 9, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Feb. 8, 1939, in East Prairie, son of the late George Emeriel and Etta May Roberts Duke, he was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a route bread salesman for Bunny Bread and member of Miner Baptist Church.

On Sept. 20, 1969, in Sikeston, he married Russell Ann "Rusty" Hatfield who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and John Spalding of Benton and Misty and Jeff Griffin of Jackson; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Janie Duke of Wentzville; and three grandchildren, Emily Spalding and Katie Spalding of Benton and Wyatt Griffin of Jackson.

One son, Derek Curtis, preceded him in death on July 9, 1992.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of Miner Baptist Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery near East Prairie.

Pallbearers will be: George St. Onge, Terry Evans, Ray Cook, Archie Smith, Bud Dock and Joey Fowler.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Jerry Dyer, Dewey Harper, Jack Adams and Jesse Kirk.
