Daisy Edwards

ESSEX - Daisy Ann Edwards, 96, died Sept. 13, 2004, at her home.

Born July 8, 1908, in Frisco, daughter of the late William and Mary Katherine Warren Baker, she lived in Essex all her life and was a member of the General Baptist Church. She was a nurse aide for the Vintage Villa Nursing Home in Dexter before retiring.

Survivors include: two sons, Robert Lee Edwards of Essex and Charles Edwards of Aid; two daughters, Pansy Jones of Flushing, Mich., and June Hunsaker of Dexter; and 20 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 26 great-great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Ruth Tussing and Hazel Edwards; three brothers, James Baker, John Baker and an infant brother; one sister, Dorothy Tippens; and three grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Revs. Paul an Gina Stephens of Poplar Bluff and the Rev. Ronnie McAtee of Advance will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex.
