Paul Stark

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Paul Clarence Stark III, 55, died April 19, 2004, in Santa Cruz.

Born March 2, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, son of Janet Merrill of Santa Cruz and the late Paul Stark Jr., he was raised in Louisiana, Mo. He attended Soquel High School and earned a bachelor of science degree at the University of California at Davis. He served with the U.S. Naval Reserves from 1971-77, was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church and worked for Stark Brothers Nursery in Louisiana, Mo. A lifetime member of Agricultural Leaders of Tomorrow, he also sang in a barbershop quartet.

Survivors in addition to his mother include: two daughters, Jeanette Stark and Laura Stark Ziegler of Sikeston, Mo.; and two sisters, Theo Stark Mazzuca of Santa Cruz and Sally Stark Kull of Dallas.

Private graveside services and burial will be conducted in Louisiana, Missouri.
