Safety demonstration

Southwestern Bell Telephone cable splicing technicians Ben Truska and Randy Terry demonstrate the proper procedure to climb a pole and a ladder during the company's Safety Rodeo Wednesday in Sikeston. Technicians from six different garage locations participated in the refresher course on safety. There were five different stations for the 25 employees to learn from: ladders, pole climbing, motor vehicle, personal protection and Missouri One Call. In vehicle safety SWBT employees are asked to use the "Circle of Safety" for their vehicles where employees place safety cones at the front and rear of the vehicle to ensure nothing is obstructing the vehicle.
