Amanda Vandivort

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Amanda Jane Vandivort, 29, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died March 14, 2004, in Burlington.

Born July 2, 1974, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Clayton and Laura Vandivort and Penny and Craig Hahs, who survive of Sikeston. A 1992 graduate of Sikeston High School, she graduated in 1996 from the University of Denver. She had also attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and was a bank teller for Merchants Bank in Burlington. She had also resided in Arkansas, Colorado, Massachusetts and Vermont.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her paternal grandfather, Bill Vandivort of Sikeston; a special friend, Kevin Nardone of Burlington; one brother, Bill Vandivort of New Orleans, La.; two sisters, Alison Hahs Deithloff of Arlington, Texas, and Shannon Hahs Keller of Sikeston; and two stepbrothers, Jacob Thompson and Robert Thompson of Sikeston.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Rosemary Vandivort; and her maternal grandparents, Al and Marge Gloor.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Tom Geers, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiated.

Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.

Pallbearers were: Jay McLeod, Rich Gloor, Andy Gloor, John David Hahs, Adam Hahs and David Gloor.
