Margrite Darby

DEXTER - Margrite M. Darby, 71, died Oct. 14, 2001, at her home.

Born Dec. 29, 1929, at Bloomfield, daughter of the late Perry Lee and Edna Young Moore, she was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church in Dexter, a former employee of the International Hat Factory and a resident of Dexter for many years.

On Jan. 31, 1947, in Bloomfield, she married James L. Darby who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, the Rev. Jerry Darby of Malden; one daughter, Paula McClure of Columbia; three brothers, Roy Bob Moore, Leoid Moore and M.C. Moore of Dexter; one sister, Velma Pierce of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Moore.

Friends may call from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Rainey Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Jerry Darby officiating.

Burial will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
