Nell Neel

KENNETT - Nellie Alma "Nell" Neel, 91, died May 3, 2004, at her home.

Born in St. Charles, Ark., daughter of the late Edward and Bertha Cady, she lived in Kennett for the past 18 years and was a member of the Kennett First Baptist Church. She and her husband owned and operated Neel's Grocery near Hornersville for 27 years.

Survivors include: one son, John "Jerry" Neel of Belleville, Ill.; one sister, Mary Price of Hazen, Ark.; and three nieces, Jackie Adkerson of Kennett, Johnie Killian of Cardwell and Linda Lawrence of Dexter.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Howard Funeral Home in Leachville, Ark., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Ed Jansson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Horner Cemetery at Hornersville.

Pallbearers will be: Bud Rauls, Dr. Brandon Rouse, Glen Rouse, Travis Galyean, Grant Galyean and Ted Johnson.
