Rachel Woods

MORLEY - Rachel J. Woods, 83, died at 11:17 a.m. Sept. 10, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Jan. 15, 1921, in Rector, Ark., daughter of the late Charley Allen and Mary Mae Hause Woods, she was a farmer and had worked at the International Hat Factory in Oran. She had also attended the Morley Baptist Church.

One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three nephews, Dale Shuffit of Nashville, Ark., Earl Woods of Morley and Cary Woods of the state of California; four nieces, Dorothy Montgomery of Oran, Pam Goehman of Gordonville, Vicky Shoemaker of Jackson and Ann Norden of Chaffee; three great-nephews, Jeff Montgomery of Oran, Mike Montgomery of Anchorage, Alaska, and Scott Shuffit of Nashville, Ark.; and one great-niece, Christy Bradshaw of Nashville, Ark.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Marvin Graham of Sikeston will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
