James Milam
MORLEY - James Arland "Kojak" "Jim" Milam, 71, died at 9:25 a.m. Sept. 26, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Sept. 7, 1933, in Benton, son of the late U.R. Milam and Anna B. Mainard Milam, he was a lifelong resident of the Sikeston area. He was a retired hand laster for Florsheim Shoe Company and member of Sikeston Eagles Aerie 3319.
On May 22, 1965, at Morley, he married Sarah O'Neal who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one brother, Calvin Milam of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Six brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ira Sandefer, pastor of Smith Avenue Church of God, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Maynard Jones, Marlin O'Neal Jr., Timmy O'Neal, Wayne O'Neal, Johnny O'Neal, Kevin Bridges, Tony Northern, Eric Tanner and Ray Vanover.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Walter O'Neal, John O'Neal, David O'Neal, Jim O'Neal, Abraham O'Neal, Marlin O'Neal and Kenny Emerson.
