Tharon Stallings

SIKESTON - A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 11 beginning at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church to honor the late Tharon Stallings. The public is invited to the memorial service and a reception that will follow. The church is at 1101 N. Main St. in Sikeston.

Stallings, 94, a longtime educator, businessman and civic leader, died Nov. 27. Thursday's memorial is designed to provide the public an opportunity to share the accomplishments of Stallings and honor his service to his church and community.

Speakers at the memorial service will include Joel Montgomery, Harold Jones, Doug Taylor, Bill Pickett and Robert Mitchell.
