MORLEY - Carolyn Jo Hopper, 54, died at 5:45 p.m. Aug. 26, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born July 21, 1947, in Roswell, N.M., daughter of the late Melby H. and Anna Marie Smith Harless, she lived in the area most of her life and was of the Pentecostal belief.

On Dec. 21, 1963, in Zalma, she married Berle Hopper who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters, Leslie Gardner, Lily Hopper and Regina Bich of Cheyenne, Wyo.; four brothers, Bill Harless and John Harless of Roswell, Lester Harless of Holbrook, Mass., and Gene Harless of Kingsland, Texas; one sister, Mildred Clevenger of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and six grandsons, Justin Bich, Dustin Hicks, Jason Hopper, Brandon Bich, Jesse Ray Bich and Avery "Bubba" Gardner II of Cheyenne.

Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Don Russell, pastor of the New Life Christian Center, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery.
