SCOTT CITY -- New Madrid County Central's volleyball team dropped to 0-2 on the season Wednesday, losing to Scott City in straight sets, 12-15, 9-15.

"We have the ability, but we're not putting it together yet," said NMCC coach Sonya Pixley. "We should be 2-0 right now. It's early in the season, but that's not an excuse. We can beat these teams."

For the Lady Eagles Kendra Gregg served up three aces and had one kill. Elizabeth Myracle had three kills and two blocks, Megan Lange finished with two kills and three aces, Ashley Brittain had three aces, and Lindsey Campbell contributed one block.

NMCC will be back in action next Tuesday, hosting the SEMO Conference Tournament.
