Beatrice Holland

DEXTER - Beatrice Holland, 77, died Sept. 2, 2001, at the Crowley Ridge Care Center.

Born Dec. 7, 1923, at Pontotoc, Miss., daughter of the late Connie Clarence and Heather Beatrice Williams Harkness, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.

On July 15, 1944, at Hernando, Miss., she married Ernest Lee Holland who preceded her in death on May 24, 1972.

Survivors include: one son, Randy Holland of Sherwood, Ark.; one daughter, Sandra S. Akridge of Dexter; three brothers, Lamar Harkness of Puxico, George Harkness of Dexter and Lewis Harkness of Coal Hill, Ark.; one sister, Doris Thompson of Dexter; and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Two brothers, Clarence Harkness and Wayne Harkness, also preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
