DUDLEY - Margaret Ann Parks, 63, died Oct. 28, 2001, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

Born June 28, 1938, in Bernie, daughter of Mildred Spicer Mekan of Bernie and the late Lawrence Mekan, she lived in Dudley most of her life, where she attended the Church of God.

On Feb. 25, 1956, in Bloomfield, she married Charles "Bo" Parks who preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 1983.

Survivors in addition to her mother include: five daughters, Loretta Parks of Dudley, Sharon Shoup and Patricia L. Disney of Bloomfield, Tonya Clark of Sikeston and Sandra Holland of Bernie; one son, Jimmy Parks of Bloomfield; five brothers, Ivan Mekan of Bernie, Gene Mekan of Arkansas, David Mekan of Dudley, Tom Mekan of California and Bill Mekan of Michigan; five sisters, Valida Mastalvich and Frances Mekan of St. Louis, Carolyn Mekan of Louisiana, Launita McNeil of Indiana and June Aimes of Poplar Bluff; a special friend, Robert C. White of Dudley; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

One son, Ernest Ray Parks, preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Dale Shoup of Malden will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dudley Cemetery.
