Johnnie R. Hunt

EAST PRAIRIE - Johnnie R. Hunt, 55, died at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 25, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 13, 1948, in East Prairie to the late John Joseph and Tena A. Thomure Hunt, he had lived in East Prairie all his life and was employed with Thomure Manufacturing Co.

On Feb. 9, 1974, he married Sheila Kay Lockridge, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four daughters and three sons-in-law, Tracy and Artie Hicks of Sikeston, Regina and Steve Lane of Norfolk, Va., Jama Linhart and Eric Backfisch of East Prairie and Ashley Hunt of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Carl Hall of Lowndes; and six grandchildren, Anthony and Brandon Hicks of Sikeston, Abigail Linhart, Alicia and Elizabeth Backfisch of East Prairie and Lauren Lane of Norfolk.

One brother, Ronald Wayne Hunt, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home with James Bolden and Bennie Thomure officiating.

Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Claud, Bennie and David Thomure, Chris Moss, Charles Parham and Mike Russell.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Allen, Eric Thomure and Jamie Riley.
