Christine Killmer
WALNUT GROVE - Christine Wolfe Killmer, 96, formerly of Dexter, died July 3, 2003, at the Willard Care Center in Willard.
Born Aug. 16, 1906, in Tula, Miss., daughter of the late John T. and Mary Lavona Kesler Webb, she owned and operated the Wolfe Grocery in Dexter from 1956-1967 and lived in Walnut Grove since 1992. A charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter, she was currently a member of the Walnut Grove First Baptist Church.
On Oct. 14, 1923, she married William Bearnard Wolfe who preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1960. She and Herschel Killmer were married Aug. 11, 1973, and he died on June 19, 1975.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward E. and Helen Wolfe of Terrebonne, Ore., James B. and Catherine Wolfe of Walnut Grove and Freddie R. and Gerta Wolfe of Narrowsburg, N.Y.; one daughter-in-law, Doris S. Wolfe of Aeia, Hawaii; and 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death were one son, Myron D. Wolfe; four brothers, Harold Webb, Howard Webb, Horace Webb and Cletus Webb; and one sister, Mildred Land.
Visitation is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Mike Watkins of Dexter, officiating.
