Carole Hill
DEXTER -- Carole Janis Hill, 64, died Aug. 11, 2004, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Born Nov. 5, 1939, at Malden, daughter of Clo Ella Roehm Sparks of Malden and the late Prentice Pillow, she was a past member of the United Methodist Church of Malden and later a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dexter. She served 25 years on the Cotton Boll Girl Scout Council for Southeast Missouri and was active in the Bootheel Retriever Club.
On July 6, 1961, in Malden, she married Howard E. Hill who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to her husband and mother include: two daughters, Kristi Jones of Dexter and Angela Reynolds of Poplar Bluff; two half brothers, Owen Pillow of Upland, Calif., and Mark Squires of Madison, Wis.; two half sisters, Ellen Bogaczyk and Lea Deissenberger of Alta Loma, Calif.; one stepsister, Margie Niewald of St. Francis, Ark.; one stepbrother, Norman Sparks of Knoxville, Tenn.; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Revs. Roy Sherfield and Harry Niewald will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
