Bob Treadway

EAST PRAIRIE - Hugh A. "Bob" Treadway, 64, died at 7:35 a.m. Dec. 30, 2003, at his home.

Born June 2, 1939, at Risco, son of Vivian Pearson Schneider of East Prairie and the late Herschel Joseph Schneider, he lived in East Prairie most of his life where he owned and operated Gas-A-Mat and The Dry Bean for many years. A member of the Charleston Masonic Lodge AF&AM and Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, S.J., USA in St. Louis, he was of the Protestant belief.

On March 21, 1964, he married Sue C. Boyd who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: one daughter, Terri Lynn Treadway of East Prairie; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Murray and Laura Schneider of Warrenton, Herschel and Mary Jayne Schneider Jr. of St. Charles and Harry and Rachel Schneider of O'Fallon; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Lonnie Berry of Lakeland, Fla.; and one granddaughter, Bobbi Sue Treadway of East Prairie.

The Charleston Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic rites at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home followed by a memorial service. Martin Lucas and Jim Quist will officiate with eulogies presented by Mike Bryant, Sam Barker and Sue Treadway.
