Dona Thompson
DEXTER - Dona W. Thompson, 91, died Dec. 22, 2003, at her home.
Born Oct. 31, 1912, in Green County, Ark., daughter of the late William J. and Susie Weaver Warbritton, she had lived in Arkansas and Missouri. She owned and operated the Thompson Shoe Store in Dexter. A member of the Church of Christ all of her adult life, she was also a member of the WPFA Club for 47 years, Home Extension Club for 10 years and the Quilting Club for many years.
On Nov. 14, 1931, she married Glen B. Thompson who preceded her in death on July 22, 1989.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Glen Allen and Neta Thompson of Albuquerque, N.M.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Amy Mosley Risener of Dexter and Rosemarry and James A. Richey of Poplar Bluff; and nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Dexter with Don Bahr of Dexter and Dwight Bryant of Portageville, officiating.
Burial is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Shiloh Cemetery in Paragould, Ark.
