Larry Verble
VANDUSER - Larry Gene Verble, 59, died at 5:07 p.m. Dec. 22, 2003, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Aug. 3, 1944, near Bell City, to Addie Juanita Adams Verble, who survives of Sikeston, and the late Victor Lionel Verble, he was a life-long resident of Vanduser. Owner and operator of Verble's TV and Satellite Sales in Vanduser, he was employed in 1991 by R.T.W. Industries in Malden and Rogers, Ark., working with them until March 2003. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston and of the Knights of Columbus Council 3151 in Sikeston. From 1963 until 1966, he served in the U.S. Army.
On Nov. 5, 1963, at Jackson he married Diane Kay Dumey, who survives of the home.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are: two sons and a daughter-in-law, John Edward and Melody Verble of Puxico and Robert Verble of Morley; two daughters and a son -in-law, Carol Ann and Paul Cohen of Sikeston and Melissa Ann Verble of Rogers; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Diana Sue and Gene Clark of Sikeston and Patricia Ann and Ron Nichols of Bell City; six grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston where a prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston with Father Stephen Schneider of St. Francis Xavier Parish and Father John Harth of Guardian Angel Parish in Oran officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Cemetery at Morley with full military honors conducted by the Missouri Military Honor Guard Unit.
