Arlene Dumey

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Arlene Dumey, 72, died at 8:45 a.m. March 17, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.

Born Aug. 2, 1929, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Curtis William and Bertha Thedora Pfefferkorn LeVan, she had been a retail accounting-bookkeeper for Super Value in Scott City. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso and the church Ladies Sodality. On Nov. 22, 1948, at Kelso, she married Henry Albert Dumey who preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1994.

One brother, Curtis LeVan, survives of St. Louis.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where a rosary is scheduled for 6 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.
