EAST PRAIRIE - A passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident on Sept. 9 has died from his injuries. The Missouri Highway Patrol reported James Bramlett, 17, of East Prairie was pronounced dead at 3:51 a.m. Thursday at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. EAST PRAIRIE - A passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident on Sept. 9 has died from his injuries.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reported James Bramlett, 17, of East Prairie was pronounced dead at 3:51 a.m. Thursday at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Bramlett had been a passenger in a one-vehicle accident which occurred at 6:55 p.m. Sept. 9 on Highway 102, three miles east of East Prairie.

According to the Patrol's report, a northbound vehicle driven by Charles Crocker, 16, of East Prairie went off the roadway and struck a tree.

Crocker received minor injuries in the accident. Also receiving minor injuries was a passenger, Lisa Chambers, 15, of East Prairie. Both were treated at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie is in charge of arrangements.

HAYTI - Two persons were injured, one seriously, in a Pemiscot County accident at 5:10 p.m. Thursday.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Danny Watkins, 33, of Hayti was westbound on Route K, four miles north of Hayti. After stopping at a stop sign, Watkins pulled his vehicle into the path of a northbound vehicle traveling on Route P and driven by Rabin Stovall, 48, of Hayti.

Watkins received minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to Hayti Hospital.

Stovall, who was seriously injured, was taken by Air Evac to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, Tenn.
