DeSOTO - Lottie Cantrell-Phillips, 56, died Dec. 27, 2003, at her home.

Born July 8, 1947, at Marston, daughter of the late Howard Leamon and Nora Lee Gribble Cantrell, she had lived most of her life in Aquilla before moving to DeSoto three months ago. She worked as a nursing assistant at the Missouri Veterans Home until her retirement and was a member of the Church of Christ in Dexter.

Survivors include: her children's father, Bill Maddox of Dudley; two daughters and one son-in-law, Melissa and Richard Wynkoop of DeSoto and Nancy Clayton of Bloomfield; two brothers, Charles Cantrell of Malden and Clarence "Willie" Powell of Puxico; seven sisters, Mary Jo Stearns of Michigan, Norma Smith, Barbara Case and Angela Mays of Dexter, Treva Lee of St. Charles, Jonnie Maddox of Dudley and Patricia Freed of Wappapello; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday with Terry Stockman of Sikeston officiating.

Burial will follow in the Rock Hill Cemetery near Puxico.
