SIKESTON - Agnes Jeanette Dyer Lambert, 89, died Oct. 12, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 1, 1913. Her husband, Earl Lambert, preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1976.

Mrs. Lambert was a key figure in establishing Lambert's Cafe. She and her husband started Lambert's in 1942. In 1976, she and her son, Norman, and his wife, Patti, went into a partnership. Mrs. Lambert made the first batch of the famous "Throwed Rolls."

Also preceding her in death were: her son, Norman Ray Lambert on June 10, 1996; and a grandson, Todd Parnell Lambert on Jan. 29, 1984.

Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Patti Lambert of Springfield; two grandsons, Karl Scott Lambert of Foley, Ala., and Benjamin Pack Lambert of Springfield; and one great-grandsons, Joseph Scott Lambert of Nashville, Tenn.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Lambert Family Farm with Johnny Hester, minister of Shady Acres Church of Christ, officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Jerry Johnson, Darren Chapman and David Malloy of Sikeston; Craig Jackson and Mike Church of Foley; and Paul "Wally" Brewer and Woody Wilson of Ozark.

Lambert's Cafe employees will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
