Gilbert Tribble
PORTAGEVILLE - Gilbert Tribble, 88, died Oct. 13, 2002, at his home.
Born July 24, 1914, in Long Tree, son of the late Dewitt Tribble and Louise Tribble Berry, he was a mechanic and member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Portageville.
On May 30, 1936, in Missouri, he married Marie Black who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: three sons, the Rev. Gilbert "Wayne" Tribble and Gregory Tribble of Portageville and Edward Tribble of Kennett; five daughters, Shelbia Robbins of Kennett, Geraldine Purser of Senath and Bonnie Harris, Ilah Tribble and Barbara Eagle of Portageville; and 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Inez Laverne Tribble; and three brothers, Raymond Tribble, Leo Tribble and Floyd Lawrence.
Visitation begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Pentecostal Church.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
