Dessie White

CHAFFEE - Dessie White, 78, died at 3 a.m. March 1, 2002, at her home.

Born Jan. 26, 1924, in Clarksville, Ark., daughter of the late Marion and Isandria Gilliam Jones, she was a member of the General Baptist Church in Chaffee.

On June 21, 1941, she married William "Ed" White who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Larry White of Chaffee; one daughter, Phyllis Glueck of Chaffee; one brother, Arlan Jones of Henderson, Ky.; one sister, Ressie Cantrell of Sikeston; and two grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Five brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Billy Anders will officiate.

Burial will follow in Union Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Kevan Beck, Sam Glency, Tim Huckstep, Allen Lankford, Mike Jobe and Mike Swain.
