Billy Mac Daugherty
CHAFFEE - W.M. "Billy Mac" Daugherty, 71, died at 12:25 p.m. Jan. 9, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Dec. 4, 1932, in Chaffee to the late Claude and Edith Blackwell Daugherty, he was a clerk for 18 years with the Frisco Railroad Co. in Chaffee and a retired groundman for the IBEW Local 1702 in West Frankfort, Ill. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee, Chaffee Masonic Lodge 615 and the Chaffee Elks Lodge 1810.
On Aug. 11, 1951, he married Anita Cowell, who survives.
Also surviving are: two sons, Bob Daugherty of Frohna and Dan Daugherty of Jackson; one daughter, Susan Schwartz of Morley; one brother, Clarence Daugherty of Chaffee; one sister, Mary Alice Eaker of Cape Girardeau; and eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
One son and one sister preceded him in death.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Watis Harrell will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
Pallbearers will be Will Daugherty, Philip Smith, Adam Daugherty, Mac Daugherty III, Gary Bickings and Dan Bickings.
