DEXTER - Jerry Dale Cooper, 58, died Oct. 17, 2002, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born Dec. 19, 1943, in Tiptonville, Ky., son of the late Dub and Mary Cooper, he lived in Dexter for the past 25 years where he attended the Ark of Hope Church. He was a minister and had worked as a dispatcher, safety man and broker for truck lines before retiring.

On Feb. 1, 1978, he married Janis Pugh who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Tim Cooper of Memphis, Tenn., and Mike Cooper of Arlington Heights, Miss.; three stepsons, Lon Watson of Little Rock, Ark., Tony Watson of Alton, Ill., and Scott Arnett of Worden, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Renna Weymouth of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Donna Riggs of Southaven, Miss., and Cheryl Corona of West Memphis, Ark.; one half sister, Betty Cates of Hawaii; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Sunday until service time at 1:30 p.m. at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. The Rev. Tim Russell and the Rev. Dave Hardin will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Lick Creek Cemetery.
