Agnes Blankenship

CAHOKIA, Ill. - Agnes M. Hillis Blankenship, 88, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died May 2, 2002, at Cahokia Nursing and Rehab.

She was born May 29, 1913, in Williamsville, Mo.

She was married to Joseph E. Thompson Jr. who preceded her in death.

She then married Conliff Blankenship who also preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Major Joseph E. Thompson III; one daughter, Pamela Jean Thompson; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors include: three daughters, Reba Kilhafner of Cahokia, Ruth Ann Clifford Downs of DeSoto and Carolyn Lee Barnett of Roscoe, Ill.; one sister, Edna Troxell of Dunnellon, Fla.; and 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Braun Colonial Funeral Home in Cahokia where services will be conducted at noon Saturday. The Rev. James Smith will officiate.

Graveside services are scheduled at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Matthews Cemetery in Matthews, Mo.
