Clemens Hester

CHAFFEE - Clemens Fritz Hester, 84, died at 12:11 a.m. Aug. 16, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born March 19, 1918, in Delta, son of the late Rossell and Sarah Ellen Barker Hester, he retired as a night watchman for the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Chaffee. A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, he was a member of VFW Post 3127 and American Legion Post 389 in Chaffee.

Survivors include: one brother, Bobby Hester of Chaffee; one sister, Lillian Hester of Chaffee; and several nieces and nephews.

Three sisters preceded him in death.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with the Rev. Dan Baggett officiating.

Burial will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.

Pallbearers will be: Gary Hester, Bobby Fisher, Ray Fisher, Jerry Hester and Clinton Hester.
