Martha Robert

KELSO - Martha C. Robert, 98, died at 6:10 p.m. Aug. 13, 2002, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Oct. 22, 1903, in New Hamburg, daughter of the late Louis and Martha Kilhafner Westrich, she was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Ann's Sodality and the quilting club of the church.

On May 3, 1927, at New Hamburg, she married Nicholas Henry Robert who preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 1973.

Survivors include: one son, Melvin Robert of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Martha Hamm of Benton; and nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

One son, three brothers and six sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where parish prayers at 6 p.m. will be followed by Knights of Columbus Rosary Council 1111 of Cape Girardeau.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Monsignor Richard Rolwing officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: David Hamm, Rick Hamm, Greg Hamm, Michael Robert, Bruce Robert and Tom Robert.
