SIKESTON -- James E. Clark, 75, died at 3 a.m. June 30, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 5, 1926, at McKenzie, Tenn., son of the late Joe Kelly and Lois Inez Parker Clark, he was a member of the Smith Avenue Church of God. He worked for Mt. Carmel (Illinois) Oil Drilling Company for 10 years and for Pryor-Green Land Leveling and Farming Company for several years. Before his retirement in 1990, Clark had also been a farmer with Jean Klein Farms and worked as a custodian at the Sikeston High School for 14 years.

On Jan 11, 1946, he married Anna Mae Florence who preceded him in death on Oct. 14, 1976.

On Feb. 4, 1978, at Martin Hills, he married Nanna Fay Shriner who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Larry E. Clark and Roger Dale Clark of Cardwell and Donald Ray Clark of Dexter; one daughter, Donna Kay Haynes of Dexter; two stepsons; four stepdaughters; one brother, Harold Clark of Granite City, Ill.; five sisters, Janice Porter of New Castle, Wyo., Jean Wagner and Bonnie Greco of Michigan City, Ind., Sue Tesh of Browns, Ill. and Martha Braden of Mt. Carmel; and 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren and great-step grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Gary Clark; two brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Ira Sandefer, pastor of the Smith Avenue Church of God, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Bill Tanner, Austin Maxwell, Leon Suggs, Culley Chaney, William Williams, and David O'Neal.
