Stella Ruffin

LAGRANGE, Ky. -- Stella Elizabeth Ruffin, 88, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died June 30, 2002, at her home.

The former Stella Elizabeth Cates and a native of Formosa, Ark., she attended the Taylorsville Road Church of Christ and was a retired homemaker.

She was married to Ronald Ruffin who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two daughters, Marjia Hehr of Mayfield Village, Ohio and Bettie Beck of LaGrange; one son, Ed Ruffin of Bettendorf, Iowa; one brother, Marlin Cates of Clinton, Ark.; one sister, Ova Baugh of Rock Island, Ill.; and six grandchildren, Amy Kassouf of Bainbridge, Ohio, George Hehr and Andrew Hehr of Mayfield Village, Tami Beck of LaGrange, Paula Smith of Avon, Ind., and R.D. Ruffin of Milwaukee, Wis.; and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston.

Burial will follow in the Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
