Pat Sherwood

GIDEON -- William Weston "Pat" Sherwood, 94, formerly of Clarkton, died Aug. 15, 2002, at the Gideon Care Center.

Born May 27, 1908, at New Madrid, son of the late Thomas Weston and Kathryn Ellis Sherwood, he worked as a cotton ginner and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarkton.

On May 18, 1926, at Alton, he married Sarah Emma Campbell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and a son-in-law, Kathryn Lee Howard of Clarkton and Patricia Ann and Jack Fletcher of Gideon; and seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Gideon. The Rev. Cleo Payne will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery at New Madrid.
