CHARLESTON - Dorothy Marie Jackson, 86, died at 3:36 a.m. Aug. 14, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Nov. 28, 1915, in Wyatt, daughter of the late Albert and Bertha Mason Fields, she lived in Mississippi and Scott Counties most of her life. She retired from Brown Shoe Company in Charleston and was a member of the Cornerstone Church in Bertrand.

On Jan. 28, 1939, she married Elbert "Ike" Jackson who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 1984.

Survivors include: two daughters, Betty Goering of rural Charleston and Faye McConnell of Sikeston; one sister, Virginia Kimble of East Prairie; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Greg Carr.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. David Cullen, pastor of the Cornerstone Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Bob Jackson, Larry McConnell, Harold McConnell, Larry Kirby, James Furlong and Donnie Sams.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Earl McConnell, Charles Ray, L.V. "Red" Brothers, Bill O'Guin and Charles Garrett.
