SIKESTON - When downtown Sikeston began to revitalize, four female business owners want to be a part of it. Erika Becker already was there with her piano shop in the spacious former Buckner-Ragsdale building on Front Street. She was joined by Personal Expressions, owned by Theresa McGill; Carol's Cards and Gifts, owned by Carol Holman; and Joy's Bridal and Formalwear, owned by Joy Gooch. All of the businesses are under one roof. Sounds confusing, but it isn't, according to Becker. "All our businesses compliment each other," she said.

CATRON - Liza Retz was one of 39 contestants competing for the title of 1994 Missouri Farm Bureau Queen. She represented the New Madrid County Farm Bureau.
