DEXTER - The annual Man of the Year and Woman of the Year awards will be presented during the Dexter Chamber of Commerce Banquet scheduled at 7 p.m. Monday at the Hidden Trails Country Club.
SIKESTON - When downtown Sikeston began to revitalize, four female business owners want to be a part of it. Erika Becker already was there with her piano shop in the spacious former Buckner-Ragsdale building on Front Street. She was joined by Personal Expressions, owned by Theresa McGill; Carol's Cards and Gifts, owned by Carol Holman; and Joy's Bridal and Formalwear, owned by Joy Gooch. All of the businesses are under one roof. Sounds confusing, but it isn't, according to Becker. "All our businesses compliment each other," she said.
