Minnie Maloney

EAST PRAIRIE - Minnie I. Maloney, 75, died at 7:45 a.m. May 30, 2002, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 25, 1926, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Roland and Sarah Etta White Grissom, she was a lifelong resident of East Prairie where she attended the First Baptist Church. She was a packer with the former East Prairie Manufacturing Company for many years.

Her husband, Art Maloney, preceded her in death on July 5, 1970.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Maricene Maloney of Burton, Mich.; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Gary Burford of Kelso; one stepson and daughter-in-law, Richard and Karen Maloney of DeSoto; one sister, Mary Douglas of East Prairie; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter and son-in-law, Pansy and Buddy Paul Smith; and one brother, Harry Grissom.

Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Saturday at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Raymond "Buddy" Hannah and George White officiating.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Brent Maloney, Mark Maloney, Keith Smith, Dickie Chance, Keith Grissom and Claude Keene.
