Wanda Singletery
SIKESTON -- Wanda Singletery, 87, died Jan. 22, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 15, 1916, in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank P. and Augusta Koch Woodward, she was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On Sept. 2, 1955, at Galesburg, Mich., she married Balus Singletery who survives of the home in Sikeston.
Other survivors include: two sons, William Dennis of Boise, Idaho, and Douglas L. Dennis of Redlands, Calif.; one daughter, Marcy Walters of Sikeston; one sister, Janet Phwolsawsdi of Atlanta, Ga.; and 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Carol Wilson; one brothers, Marshall Woodward; and one sister, Frankie McAdams, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Joe McCullough, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sikeston Garden of Memories Cemetery.
