Joy Windham
WARDELL - Joy Annette Stanford Windham, 58, died Dec. 30, 2003, in Memphis, Tenn.
Born Jan. 21, 1945, at Kennett, daughter of Wilburn Houston and Martha Emma Johnson Stanford of Portageville, she was a graduate of Wardell High School. She had worked in quality control for Plastene Supply Co.
Survivors in addition to her parents include: a special friend, Jerry Tarkington of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Pam Windham of Wardell; two daughters and one son-in-law, Regena and Charles Leonard of Portageville and Cindy Hampton of Wardell; two sisters, Connie Woodall of Wardell and Patty Lewis of Portageville; four grandchildren, J.R., Devin, Hannah and Layton; and extended family, Billy Woodall Jr. and family of Gideon, Jimmy Bruner and family of Olive Branch, Miss., Jeff and Charla Stark and family and Charles and Dorothy Means of Batesville, Miss.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Scottie Hampton; and her grandparents.
Services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville with the Rev. Bryan Kirby officiating.
Burial followed in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Gene Windham Jr., Richard Miller, Raymond Miller, Donald Thacker, Christopher Woodall and Billy Woodall Jr.
Honorary pallbearer was Jeff Stark.
